On Sunday the 24th of February one of our guards Syam was attending to his duties on that Sunday, he was at John Rocco’s house making sure everything was going well for the end of Chinese New Year celebrations, he ended his shift and gave Raja a lift to his car at 7.30pm because it was raining and that’s the sort of kind and considerate man he is. He then ended his day and went to leave, he turned out of Gita Bayu and swerved to miss the pot hole and a car hit him and kept driving, he was taken to Serdang hospital and sustained injuries to his face and head that same week his lovely son was undergoing treatment for cancer, this has been an on-going stress for the family for over one year.
Some of the RA committee decided to raise funds to help the family and I must admit it was overwhelming to see how generous and caring all of the residents of Gita Bayu have been, we went to his house with a Cheque and a basket of fruit. There such a humble family living in Puchong Selangor Darul Ehsan in a simple home. We gave them the denotation cheque of RM12, 500 (donated by residents and collected by the RA committee) to help with his recovery and to help with their on-going expenses, Syam has worked as a guard for the past 10 years and if you don’t know him I bet he knows you and your children. He makes sure you and your children are safe and sound and he is so considerate and caring, I feel blessed to live in such a wonderful area.
In addition, so many of our residents have given Mr Foo donations separately. He has passed this on to Syam and his family, so feel reassured that you have made a difference. If you wish to know more about his recovery and his son wellbeing you can talk to Mr Foo or any of the committee members.
